Sometimes you can get away with a lower price if you plan to sell only through FeedARead (not ideal for customers as P&P on one item is pricey.)

For Pomp, the minimum I could set for distribution was £8.99 but I could sell them on the FeedARead website for £7.99 if I wanted to.

That's worth knowing. I'm going for premium distribution because I'd like the paperback to be available from my book's Amazon page ... but of course I can always direct people to the listing on FeedARead directly if it will retail cheaper.

I'll do some investigating and see what I can find out...

Alex,

I've only just caught this thread. We're in the process of using feedaread to produce a paperback of Blackened Cottage. It's only 65,000 words and 241 pages so the price has been set (by them) at £6.99 via feedaread and £7.99 elsewhere - which I think is probably the minimum. We've also gone for 'premium distribution' which seems good value at £88.

BC is currently being published so we should be able to order a copy to check in a week or so. What stage are you at?

I've got a book through at £5.99, so £6.99 is not the minimum.

Hi Steve, likewise only just seen your reply!

The stage I'm at: proofs finished and sent off, awaiting checking and response from FeedARead. My PDF was about 70MB so I had to email it to them directly (it contains illustrations). Just written a blog post here which may be of use:

Good luck!
