Review: How To be a Woman - Caitlin Moran

This isn't a book for everyone yet for some it will be a great read that alternates between gut wrenching laughter and the resigned nodding of the head.
Caitlin Moran writes from her own perspective with no agenda other than to share her thoughts and experiences on being a woman of the modern world. Personally I've found some feminist-type books dry and full of rants; this book explores the issue with hilarity. I read this on a long train journey and frightened my fellow passengers by randomly bursting into laughter (on the upside I got to keep a table all to myself for most of the trip!).

I'm loathe to say much more than this because this is less of a storyline with characters and more of an exploration of life as a woman from childhood and beyond which will have you questioning your own life to date in a very frank way. I know several men who have read How To Be a Woman who wouldn't hesitate to recommend it themselves.

For me this is a must-have title in my Kindle collection and one I plan to read again in the future.

What I Read

RE: Review: How To be a Woman - Caitlin Moran

I love this book. I've only read the first few chapters so far but Moran makes me feel so good about being a woman and put things I was previously insecure about to one side.
