Free Science Fiction e books from Monday the 29th to Wednesday the 31st 2012

This post was last modified: 27 Oct 2012 12:04 AM by oregonauthor.

Hi, I will be having a 3 day free promotion on two of my science fiction e books from Monday the 29th to Wednesday the 31st at midnight. I live in the Pacific Standard Time zone, which is -minus seven from UTC. Amazon's sales period starts at 0001 Monday the 29th and ends at midnight Wednesday the 31st.
If my math is correct<G> that means the sale will start 7 am English time on Monday morning the 29th, and end 7am Thursday morning November 1st.

The e books are Day of the Dogs which is an end of the world thriller. The other one is my space opera/military science fiction masterpiece<G> Strike Destroyer.

They are available at the link in my signature for free starting on Monday the 29th.

Thanks!
My e books are available at the following url. I also have a blog at http://www.doomerdoug.wordpress.com

The books are "Day of the Dogs," "Howl of the Dogs," and "Strike Destroyer."

Oregonauthor, are you aware that in the UK we tend to put the day first in the date, then the month? People might be confused by your title. Perhaps you would be better off with putting "Monday 29th to Wednesday 31st October" in the heading.

Also, the midnight time applies to Pacific time in the US (or something - I'm not too hot on time zones) so that means 8.00am in the UK (or wait, that might change because our clocks go back). Even more important is that there can be a lag between your intended "free download" time and thwe actual time, both at the beginning and the end, so be aware of that, and make sure your friends are aware and opnly download when it has flipped to free.

Good luck with your promo. Have you seen the other threads on where to advertise your promos?

Thanks for the advice. I redid the post. If I am correct it means midnight will be 7 hours behind you. I was watching "My Fair Lady" with Rex Harrison where he talks about how the English and the Americans don't speak the same English<G> Amazon is located in Seattle, but they may use eastern standard time to start their sales days.

Both Day of the Dogs and Strike Destroyer are now on free download status. I know this since I just downloaded both of them for my PC Kindle reader<G> It will be interesting to see what they actually look like in terms of format etc. I know what they are supposed to look like, and what I intended them to look like. Please let me know what you think of them. Thanks
