I'm with you there, roll on free Lovefilm streaming.

Curses! Just realised that (as clearly stated on the Kindle Owners' Lending Library home page) borrowed books can only be read on a real, physical Kindle. That's a bit of a nuisance for those of us who switch backwards and forwards between a number of different devices depending on circumstances. Presumably a licencing restriction since it limits the convenience of WhisperSync.

I take it that no one knows of a way to browse the list of books avaliable for Lending from Amazon UK from a PC

I did a bit searching and found a link to show the lendling list avaliable in the US store
Amazon USA Prime Lending
But I can't get this to work for the UK store

How is everyone's borrow tally now.

I've had 17 borrowed in the UK and 17 in the US. Generally, a few more pile on a day or two before the end of the month when Prime members realise they'd better use it or lose it.

Had my first borrow yesterday for 'Maureen goes to Venice'. Presumably, as it's set a 77p, readers will be looking for a more expensive free book for their monthly borrow.

Do borrows affect chart position?

hahaha! good luck with that! Out of interest, I see you've had a promo on KFU adds running this week, mine just started today and I was wondering what, if any increase in sales its resulted in?

Oh and by the way, "Maureen was neither French nor in France nor talking to someone French but whenever she was abroad, wherever she was abroad French expressions slipped out like diarrhoea."

Had me laughing like a drain - wonderful writing!

Good luck with your ad, David.

I booked a slot for a month, taking advantage of the 20% discount offered. It's hard to say exactly how it has affected sales as 'Maureen goes to Venice' was only released just over a month ago so it hadn't established a pattern of sales before. I wonder if Lou can tell how many sales are from clicks through the ads?

What I can tell you though is MGTV's sales have smashed sales of my first book 'Eclectic' in a fraction of the time. I think there may be several reasons for this.
1) Longer stories seem to sell better than collections of short stories
2) Maureen as a character seems to be very popular with readers
3) Readers may know me more than at the time I released 'Eclectic'
4) My blog is up and running now; it wasn't when I released 'Eclectic'
5) The KUFad, I feel sure, must have contributed to sales. I have had a pleasingly steady stream of sales throughout the running of the ad.

Best of luck, David!

Jonathan
