XP security updates will end in April 2014 so probably worth updating by then.

Frogplate, thanks for this, I knew XP support was ending but wasn't sure when. That means 2013 is definitely the year for me to upgrade.

I like parts of Windows 8 but, at least with this computer cuz it's old, I'm going to stick with Windows XP. When I get a new computer I will move to either Windows 7 or 8

I really like Windows 7, much more than XP, so will put off upgrading as long as possible. Sometimes you just want things to stay the same...
