Does anybody use this site? I haven't even checked to see if it is still up and running, and it would obviously be no use for Kindle users but it was a really fun idea back when it first came about. I used it for a couple of years.

Yeah, it is still alive and kicking by the looks of it. The idea is that you 'Release Books into the Wild' and then register online where you have left it and people can go and collect them and your books can potentially travel all over the world being passed round anonymously.

It's one of those things you get into and then drift out of but I used to really like it. Now I am too much of a hoarder to give my books away but I was wondering if anyone else here used to use it and what areas and what sort of places you used to leave your books?

If I was still involved I would be seething at the Kindle for bringing about the possible demise of my hobby but seeing as I am not, I don't care

RE: BookCrossing.com

Yeah, some areas people were prolific. Others there was barely a reader for miles around.

RE: BookCrossing.com

I released 2 books and posted them on Bookcrossing in November 2010. I just checked, and they have had no responses.
