What I Read

Maxwell Makes up his Mind, and other children's books by Kurt Zimmerman

This is more to introduce you to a great writer of children's books, more than any particular work of his, but here's my quick Amazon.com review of "Maxwell Makes Up His Mind":

"If your child likes The Lion King, they will probably love this. It's a great length for either bedtime or the morning. My impression was of a "grass is always greener" or "don't take what you have for granted," moral built in alongside the dominant "What will _you_ be when you grow up?" implication, which I think is excellent for children between the ages of 3 and maybe 10."

Kurt is a FATHER OF 12 children and has 14 grandchildren. He and his wife have 30+ books between them.
