What I Read

Good Cop

I've been watching this via the iplayer - I don't watch much live TV these days. It almost passed me by, but now I am hooked.

This is a gritty police-procedural, set in Liverpool. PC John-Paul Rocksavage (Sav to his mates) is the allegedly good cop in the title. His partner is killed by a gang of thugs, and he sets about avenging his partners' death.

It's a complicated story, as Sav has a dying father, an ex with a child (his), his father's married nurse as a current squeeze, and a new (female) partner. Of course, as those involved in the murder of his partner meet their end, his colleagues are busily trying to solve the case.

As I said, it is a gritty story, with real characters, with Liverpool as a back-drop. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

It stars Warren Brown as Sav. Interestingly (sorry, but I'm nerdy about credits!!), former Grange Hill and Eastenders actress Susan Tully (now known as Sue Tully), directed episodes 3 and 4.

RE: Good Cop

I struggled to get into it. Although I had it on while tapping away on my laptop. It's a slow burner thats for sure. Close to one of the Slower USA crack TV shows. Lots of scope.
