I think i have peaked. I dont expect any other websites to pick me up now.

Thoughts on pulling the plug on the promo today against letting it run out until Tuesday?

Top ranking was 392 overall, currently 452 in the UK.

It's impossible to know for sure, but I know that Mondays are very busy days for downloads. Also, on this chart you're doing pretty good:

#12 in Kindle Store > Books > Fiction > Fantasy > Contemporary

On the other hand, it might be worth keeping the two days in reserve, and try again when you have some more reviews to boost your visibility.

Tough call!

Unfortunately Contemporary is a bottom level category. I peaked at 8 in that chart. Im not worried about wasting 2 days as the next promo is planned for christmas by which time I will have another 5 days to play with.

Thanks you, MacAoidh! Enjoy!

Hold on to your hats! Something has triggered somewhere across the pond! At midnight last night i had 265 downloads from .com after 40 hours. Ive had a further 200 today already! I think about 40-50 per hour (it didnt register in my head until about half hour ago so not sure how many exactly).

Do i know what site has picked me up today? Not a clue but its not POI

Good news! I would say that's now definitely worth keeping free, especially if the next promo is as soon as Christmas.

RE: FREE 12-16 Oct: Firestone~ a YA fantasy novel

Ok, so we're half way through Day 4 and about an hour ago downloads hit the 1000 mark! 1014 so far which is pretty realistic for a book with so few reviews (none on .com and TWO *Yes I got my first 5 star review today!*).

Figures stand as follows...

USA: 784 (with no reviews to show)
UK: 205 (now with 2 reviews)
Germany: 24
Italy: 1 (I like to think this was the Pope Clapping hands)

Total so far: 1014

Approximately 36 hours to go.

Oh, and here's the review...

This is a great debut from a new fantasy author. Usually i'm not really into fantasy, dragons etc BUT i really did find this a great read that got me engrossed in the story pretty quickly. I don't really want to give anything away so i'll make this short and sweet.

If fantasy, dragons etc is your thing give it a read, IF NOT, give it a read anyway as i'm sure you will enjoy it.

Looking forward to the sequel.
