what i thought:

Firstly, this book should come with a warning:
Do NOT start reading this if you have other things that you really should be getting done. I say this cos, from the first to the last page, I was totally gripped by this book. It is written in the form of a diary so it has short, punchy “chapters”. Combine this with a storyline that keeps your attention the entire time and there is a great temptation to think “I’ll just read one more before I put it down” and then you realise, when you finish the book, that you have read solidly for over 5 hours, lost the entire evening, and stayed up way later than your usual bedtime.
It’s a great book, wonderfully written and staring some really great characters. It takes the reader through a whole host of emotions and has some really great lines. I am not usually one for highlighting but some of the lines in this were just too good not to.
I hear the author has a second book coming out soon. I for one will be keeping my eye out for that!

I totally agree with everything Chitma has said. I started reading for a few minutes before I went to sleep last night, and then realised it was waaaaay past my bed time and I was half way through the book. It covers all emotions and is very easy to read. You have to read the next entry in the diary, just to see what happens and before you know it, you have read another month. Smile

I keep hearing that from people which is a HUGE compliment. I hope you enjoy the rest of the book and an Amazon review would be very much appreciated Smile

Congratulations on how well it is doing Jon! #4 in freebie downloads is a great achievement! Though, at the risk of blowing our own trumpet a bit too loudly - is it too much to suggest it might be the power of KUF? Tongue

I am at 92% so will be doing review of it soon - what I won't include in the review - but what it so reminded me of - was when my husband was desperate to buy an Evel Knievel doll on ebay. I remember it vividly because I couldn't decide at the time who was the saddest, my husband for wanting one, or the people who kept outbidding him Big Grin

Hi Elaine,

It definitely helps being on here for sure! I'm so glad you're enjoying the book and I can't believe you had the same experience, although at least you don't have a whole shed full of stuff! I guess that's why people seem to be enjoying it because they can relate - which means that men really are all the same!!! I can't believe I made it to number 4, I'm crossing my fingers for number 1 - we have to dream right?

Thanks for reading it and I hope you enjoy the ending Smile
