Kindle Fire Security

It costs me a lot of money every year to run internet security on my PC. So, if a Kindle Fire is used to browse the internet and download anything and every thing from anywhere, how come it doesn't pick up viruses

Just wondered

RE: Kindle Fire Security

I recommend you install Avast! Anti-virus for your Kindle Fire. I run it on mine and it seems to work well. Scans every new app that I install, runs a scheduled scan as and when I want (weekly, as it happens).

I would be more concerned about SILK than viruses.

Silk hold all your site visits for 30 days. If you have nothing to be concerned about what sites you visit, you ask yourself, whats the problem? TRENDS etc. Although Amazon state they don't do anthing with the data, there are always those that MAY sell such data to outside companies without Amazon being aware.
