Oh - but I want you to read it soon because I'd love a good discussion about the book.Smile Still, if there are people who can't get through it, as some of the reviews suggest, it should be appearing in a charity shop near you pretty soon.

OK, scales tipped back again. I'll order it from the library tomorrow - and monitor the local charity shops!

I've now read it and happy to discuss. Are there now enough of us in that position to make a separate discussion thread worthwhile?

Did the charity shop come up trumps, or did you succumb to the shelf full in the supermarket? A discussion should be interesting given the diversity of views expressed in the Amazon reiviews - especially on .com. I'm just off to the tip (the bin men won't collect from me as I am too much off the beaten track) but will look in General Books Discussion if you want to kick off. If not, I can start a thread there when I get back. Either way I'm sure people will join in over time as more people read it.Smile

Neither - it was the good old library service!

I'm just off on a post-holiday trip delivering to local bookshops (the very few that remain), but I'll join you in a General Discussion later.
