My Kindle app on Samsung Nexus s mobile regularly loses all downloaded books. Can anyone explain, please?

RE: Lost books on Android mobile

I've just started having a similar problem with the latest version of the Android app running on a Galaxy S3. Previews disappear when the app exits. Sometimes it will attempt to re-download them when you next go into the app, other times it denies that the book has ever been on the device. Rather annoying when you power up the app on the Underground to see the book disappear and then app fail to redownload it as there is no network coverage.

I have the kindle android app on my nexus7. It hasn't lost books yet, but took many days before it would admit that I'd bought a new book, and show it in the Archived items so that I could download it.

RE: Lost books on Android mobile

A lot of recent reviews on Play of the latest version of the Kindle Android app are complaining about books disappearing. Looks like its a sync bug in the most recent release. Hopefully there will be an update to fix soon - I have 4 hours train travel a day and for security reasons am not allowed to carry a Kindle, so am stuck with the Android app.
