REVIEW The Black Conspiracy by Ken Magee

Have just put read the last page of this book & am realising my chuckling has come to an end. Sad

This is the second book in the series & im hoping it won't be the last, it certainly leaves the adventure open with enough opportunity for book 3.

In this episode we continue to follow the escapades of Madrick the old Wizard & young Tung a lowly life form ( who is extremely funny) as they try to save the world & take on the evil forces of Black Wizards Vlax & Calister.

Those having read the first book "Dark Tidings" will be aware that Madrick & Tung have time travelled from Medieval England into the present day using the spell spell to escape the dungeons of King Mifel & certain death.

They meet up with Michael a legendary techno geek & computer hacker & the fun begins. ( I strongly recommend reading this book prior to "Black Conspiracy" to get the background of events, you won't be disappointed) .

Vlax & Calister have now joined them in the present day & hatched a plan to take over the Occultus Populous, a powerful secret organisation, hidden under the wealth of an International Investment Bank that has continued to thrive since the Grand Wizards of their time.

There are more new characters introduced & all are brilliantly cast adding more adventure & side splitting funnies along the way.

Action, mishaps & humour & all this is done under the watchful eye of Mr & Mrs Universe (a new addition to the series )

If you enjoy a well told adventure of old & new with a little magic ( or maybe a lot) & enjoy the kind of slapstick humour that grabs you unaware causing you to wheeze in bouts of giggles then this is for you.

As the first book, this is superbly written. Dont make the mistake of confusing talent with price as you will presume this just a mediocre read which it isn't.

Enjoy!
