Any Strictly fans?

I have to admit this is my autumn must see - yes, sad, I know, but I love it! Brucie is naff and sort of past it, but I don't care. We have the usual suspects this year - the diva(s), the old has-been who's there for a laugh, the overweight one, the sports "stars", the soap "stars".

I think Denise van O might go far, she has the training, but you never can tell. On tonight at 9pm on BBC1.

Yes, we watch it (despite Brucey). And my niece has got a job as a runner so I might have some inside info - will share it if there is any. Her first days are today and tomorrow.

Not really a fan, but we will watch it for Johnny Ball - my son has been a fan of him ever since he attended a "Johnny Ball Maths Masterclass" a couple of years ago - although the fact that he was a legend was totally lost on my son - he could only relate to him as being Zoe's dad. Very disappointingly, he didn't say "think of a number" once.

That could be interesting, Elaine. Will JB come good or will he be another "we got this one to keep you amused"?

The thing about Brucie is that over the years, he has provided us with a great deal of laughter & pleasure and it is good that he appears to be holding up well. However, as loyal a fan as I have always been, I have to admit to cringing frequently. Whether or not he is being fed his lines, or if he goes "off the cuff", doesn't matter, because either way, I am sure the applause when it comes, is not genuine, but out of response to whoever is waving their arms in a gesture of "clap now".

What I will add, is that for me, the backing singers are simply great. Quite often their interpretation of a famous song, comes across as being the original version.

I get dragged into watching it.

I was really put off by finding out Darcy "no personality" Bussell was a judge. I'm hoping she's had lots of lessons on how to be interesting as I quite like the look of the line-up.

It's interesting to hear we have an insider here. I often go to the spoiler thread on digital spy to find out. I hate the "Sunday" show - it's just painfully dragged out, when everyone knows it's filmed on the Saturday. From what I gather everyone is made to leave their phones in a safe place and can only get them back after the show.

Darcey, yah. She was a bit annoying, yah. We didn't really pay much attention, yah, to what she was saying, yah, as all we were saying, yah was "yah" every time she opened her mouth, yah.

Oooo good, an insider, that is what we need. We can get all the gossip. Smile

I do exactly the same joo! It drives my hubby mad that I have found out who is in or out, but I don't say a thing to him before so can't see what he is moaning about.

I haven't seen last nights show yet, but I usually record them and can then fast forward past Brucie's cringe worthy bits. Smile
