RE: A Little Annoyance

OK, so now that I have found you............yes, I know you weren't lost, but I/we didn't appreciate there was a special place in this forum for those of us with a Kindle E-reader with WiFi 6" E ink display until advised by a fellow member. For what it's worth, having our own little group, means that if anyone with this particular model needs to discuss/ask anything about this model then at least we're not talking at cross purposes which in itself means we won't get into a further stew.

From the onset, I am literally the middle man here, between you and my wife. She has the kindle (present from me) and I am the one with the knowledge of and use of the internet via my laptop.

Thus far, after leaving the newly acquired kindle on the table for over a week, (not gathering dust I might add) but staring up at us saying "go on then, get on with it, you bought me now use me". So, arriving at this website, I arranged for our daily dose of freebies and now we make a point of reading through the summaries and then whispering them over. To date there are 153 languishing in our cyber library and she has read just one and deleted it, so number two is now being read.

I bought my wife the case to ensure it is protected and is easier to grip when reading.

The test will come when we go to our daughters in a few days time, and I use my 2nd laptop (netbook) and we have to connect via wifi not only that, but the kindle as well.

Regarding the OP's comment about the book opening a few pages in, well thankfully we're spared that, in fact if it did, I might be tempted to ask Amazon to replace it, just in case there is an underlying fault. Yes, my wife says that she too would like to see the cover for reference, but accepts that this is not the case and probably won't change.

Now to look at your other posts. Tell me, is there any reason to look elsewhere within this forum if all our needs are covered here?

What I Read

RE: A Little Annoyance

Yes, you need to look all over this forum.
Look at the free books section (including the any gems today thread)
Look at the readers reviews section (to see if others like the books you have)
Look at the book club section (and join in after reading it)
Look at the Lounge section for off topic chats and competitions
Look at the Kindle Tips section for tips.

I rarely visit sections unless I want to start a thread, I always click on "New Posts" to see what's new and if anything looks interesting.

I know it is your wife who has the kindle and you are the middle man, but she can dictate a review for you to type Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin
Please put a bowl of water out for hedgehogs and other night-time visitors, you might just save their life.
While you are at it, feed the birds too. Thumbs Up And come and talk about it at Garden Wildlife Forum

Joo. Somewhat belatedly comes a reply:-

we have the free ebooks sent via email and go through Romance/Family Saga
unsure if at this moment in time, other reader reviews would affect my wife's choice for reading.
? Book Club, to be honest she has 144 books at the moment.
will indeed look in the Lounge, as it would be interesting for me whilst she is reading.
Kindle tips, yes, via them I have bought a case for it.

Yes, I too click on new posts, it saves time.
huh, she is currently looking for the way to delete those books she can't get interested in.
