I am a bit obsessed with 'Teeny Time Travel Tales' at the moment - 78 words long of course, heres one i wrote earlier...

TTTT~15

The palaeontologists were shocked, new tests proved the dinosaurs had been wiped out by a huge range of chemicals – it would disprove every previous theory. Science was in turmoil.

Discussing a business deal - two men in silver suits had a plan... “I picked up this Time Machine at the impound yard sale for a snip. Dumping 100 barrels of toxic waste a day will see us in profit in a month.”

“Sweet... and who is ever gonna know?”

:o)
'Teeny tiny Tales' should be on Smashwords this weekend hopefully.

There are five coming your way soon - there is an arc, but they work as separate stories too.

Oh that sounds brilliant! Shall I scatter them or give them consecutive days?

Consecutive days would be better - otherwise the arc won't really work, 'cos people will have forgotten.

Ok cool. Add them in the right order one after the other and they should automatically get consecutive days.

Here's one for you - I've submitted it via the form.

Clowns

Lying on my bed and see my room full of clowns. Happy clowns, sad clowns, laughing clowns ,even a tall gaunt clown with spindly legs. My mummy thinks I like them and keeps buying me more. I wish I could tell her how much they frighten me. Everywhere I look, I see another clown’s face.

One hundred different clowns, none of them the same. I say my prayers with mummy then count them before I sleep. Snuggled in my duvet I count them once again. This time the number comes up short and there’s a rustle under the bed.

Ooh er. TechnoHippy. That's spooky. Hiding

Here's one for you, Rosen, if you'd like to use it:

It was all her own fault.
She nagged him for her own computer. He bought her one.
She nagged him about the cable running down the stairs.
He said it was necessary.
She said it was a death trap.
He said it was the network cable linking their two machines.
She nagged him to remove it, said it was dangerous.
He said he’d do it tomorrow.
By the time the ambulance men arrived and the paramedics said she’d broken her neck, he’d tidied the wiring away and moved her computer upstairs.
He said it was an accident. They believed him.

Thanks Lynda :-)

Question for Rosen - do you mind if I reuse the 100 word stories once it has been used in the newsletter? I'm thinking of posting it on my blog and via twitter along with a link to the mailing list.

These stories are very cool - well done, everyone! You make it look easy but it's actually very tricky to do, a proper writing challenge.
