I just wanted to say how much I liked today's one - such a great idea to write a serial.

(and thanks for Rosen for posting one of mine, I think it was yesterday)

I loved Cecilia's one too! Are all writers cat-worshippers?

Syd's 5-part mega-saga looks intriguing too.

RE: Looking for 100 word stories

I know this is a bit early, but I've just submitted a drabble for Halloween!

Ghosting by David Wailing

My Kindle is haunted. There, I said it.

My friends think I'm mad. Only I can see it. Not all the time. But it's there, all right. Hazy, faint, floating underneath Herbert's words, King's dialogue, Lovecraft's descriptions.

The Kindle is writing its own stories. Borrowing screams and blood and terror, to quietly build its own nightmares.

It wants to be free.

I decide to snap it in half, go back to proper books. Sweet, safe paper! Finally, I'll be the one who's free.

I sync my Kindle to Amazon one final time. And suddenly... the ghosting is gone.

Escaped.

Free.

I hope everyone wasn't too depressed by Joy Blush

I wonder if anyone worked out who she was?

I have to admit, I didn't get the reference. Heard some positive feedback on your serial drabble though, so yay you!
