UK finally gets Cloud Player

I noticed earlier in the week Amazon have launched their Cloud Player in the UK, right behind the announcements we'd get the Fire.

So just Lovefilm/Amazon Video to get the full experience.

Oh, wait, and they're even offering a one month free trial comes with the Fire HD.

This is about time, not just for those getting a Kindle Fire.

I have a Galaxy Tab (aka PseudoKindle Tongue) and a Galaxy Nexus phone. I prefer MP3s from Amazon as they are cheaper (usually) than iTunes (plus I hate iTunes). But until this week, if I bought a song on my phone, it wouldn't sync with my tab which was annoying. Now I can buy music when I want to regardless of what device I have to hand at the time. Groovy

Yes, it looks like Amazon are really trying to take on Apple with this. If I were not so heavily invested with Apple already, I'd probably be raving Big Grin

When we had netflix (free trial) we ended up watching nothing. All the films we searched for were not available.
We have Lovefilm atm, years free sub with the TV we bought, and it hasn't been too bad, not brilliant by any means, just not as bad as Netflix Smile

RE: UK finally gets Cloud Player

I have a rooted Kindle Fire, and now Amazon lets me use Cloud Player, so I have installed Amazon Music Importer on my PC and I have installed Amazon Cloud Drive on my PC so as to upload files to the Cloud Drive.

Great - Uploaded music can be played on my Kindle. (Google Play kindly supplied me with the upgraded Amazon MP3 app.)

Not so great - Uploaded files cannot be read on my Kindle. When I click "Cloud" I get access to the documents held by Amazon which I have sent to my dedicated Kindle e-mail address.

Does anyone know how I can convice the "Cloud" to let me see my files?

I to have just started using Amazon Cloud Player and have found it fine with albums bought through Amazon but 2 of the 4 albums I have uploaded from my PC are not showing on the Kindle. I have tried adding some tracks to a playlist but that does not show on the Kindle.
Trying to play tracks from the Cloud Player web site just starts the music app so I cannot see the missing tracks.
I have found a similar problem with Cloud Drive where I can view documents & photos uploaded using the Kindle apps but not any videos.
I can however play videos from the Cloud Drive via the website
