Although it is brilliant having so many new members, I do have some nostalgic moments about the early days with the nice sense of camaraderie amongst very new Kindle users - and this was before the Kindle was released in the UK. I remember mine receiving very curious looks and I swear that Amazon should recompense me for all the work I did promoting the Kindle to sceptical friends - all of whom now possess one.
There were also some fun threads long since lost. Who remembers The Three Silly Goats KUF? Perhaps now there are so many writers on the forum I will have to revive this and see what they make of it!

RE: Help KUF hit 10,000

Yes, I do remember the early days when there was just a handful of us. We've lost a few people along the way sadly. I wonder what they're up to now?

It's amazing how far we've come together, and I hope it continues. As Joo said, we may see an bit of a surge when the Fire releases in the near future, and it's good that Amazon are putting a lot of emphasis on the reading aspects of it as well as the multi-media.

It's hard to predict the impact a UK Kindle Fire may have on the forum, and I'm glad I made the preparations a long time ago for keeping both aspects separate to a degree. I'm really looking forward to finding out what happens.

Blimey!!! Yes!! Just had a re-read and it brought back some memories!!!

I remember logging onto KUF every day to read the latest (still do of course!!) and chomping at the bit waiting for an email from Amazon to tell me the first Kindles were being despatched!!!

We've come a long way since then!!!
