Kindle Touch 3G removed from Amazon.co.uk

Following yesterdays new Kindle hardware announcements, it seems like the Kindle Touch 3G has been removed from Amazon.co.uk

This could be a sign of an imminent release of the Kindle Paperwhite, or perhaps a shortage of 3G Touch models.

Amazon.com are not listing the Kindle Touch at all now.

What I Read

RE: Kindle Touch 3G removed from Amazon.co.uk

I just did a search on Kindle Touch 3G, on Amazon.Co.UK and it come up as currently being unavailable.

If it was me, I would had though that they keep KT 3G going until just before paperwhite gets released over here.

The other reason could be, that because WaterStones will be selling Kindles too. They might had to send a large number to them, so they are currently waiting for stock to come back for sale.

Tesco UK I assume they don't have them in the US? Odd that the Kindle Touch is being pulled all over is the WiFi one also gone from Tesco? I find it odd only the 3g one has been pulled from amazon UK. We can all dream of a quick Paperwhite release in the UK right?

What I Read

RE: Kindle Touch 3G removed from Amazon.co.uk

I was thinking about why this could had happened for. There is no release date for Kindle PaperWhite in the UK. They are releasing it in US in October. It is only a few months away from Xmas. So what Amazon might be doing, is making the demand for people to get PaperWhite 3G & Wifi in the UK, by releasing it close to Xmas. So everybody is running out to get one.
