Amazon have made the 3.0.2 software update for the K3 official.

Not sure if they will push it out via whispernet automatically

I really wish they would post a change log ... This software update includes web browser and general performance improvements. doesn't really tell us that much.

When it finally finishes updating - mine seems to do it twice each time!! - and the home page comes up with that (0) against all your collections for a few seconds - there was a sharp intake of breath and a "Oh my God" when I did the very first update!!! Phew!!!

Still does it, but the first time.........

My new Kindle arrived last Saturday, and I was pleased to see that it came with 3.0.2 already installed.

Now, what do I read today... that a beta of 3.0.3 is already available. Rolleyes

I haven't read anything bad about it yet, so will probably 'update' tomorrow, which will be a good test of my computer connectability, which is something I haven't tried out yet.

I have updated to the Beta 3.03 and it works perfectly.

It did, however, replace around 18 titles from my Archived Items back to my Home screen. It wasn't a problem re-removing them from device, just a little tedious.
