In the US, Amazon is offering a Kindle for $ 114 (wi-fi) that will display ads instead of dead authors when the thing is shut down. I wondered if they have any similar offer in the UK. I didn't see one on the website. Just curious . . .

Hi, there's a part of a thread on this on Kindle Buzz
At the moment it looks like it's a US thing, might come over at the same time as the DX but they don't seem to have any plans for that either.
We'll keep watch and report as we hear more
