Kindle : The future? - KUF Editorial - 11 Jan 2013 10:34 AM

Amazon's technical division, Lab126 who are responsible for the development of Kindle products have posted an interesting statement on their website today which possibly hints at the direction the Kindle is headed in the future.

Our Vision
To make available in less than 60 seconds every book, ever written, in any language, in print or out of print; and bring the same ease-of-use, deep integration and superior selection of content to movies, TV shows, music, magazines, apps, games, and more.

Since December, Amazon have been recruiting large numbers of technical and programming staff, so it really sounds like Amazon are taking things very seriously, in particular the Kindle Fire. Interesting times.

Lofty goals indeed "every book, ever written, in any language" the Kindle is truly a wonderful device.
Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.

Isn't this what Google is trying to do too?

The problem isn't the technology, it's copyright law that'll stop it (and has been).
