How do you switch the text reader from Male to Female voice-my wife can't stand the guys voice!! Huh

You can, but I wouldn't recommend it. The Kindle is primarily a text-based device and almost anything else will do a better job - mobile phone, ipod, laptop, etc. are all better at the job than a Kindle.

I have several audio books on my Kindle and have no issues with the playback at all
If you purchase through Audible they will play back just like any other device

Hi Guys, new to the forum having just bought a kindle yesterday. I'm loving it so far but have a few stupid questions Whistle

Is it possible to mark a word on a page you have finished reading so when you go back to the page you can tell the precise location you last finished reading?

Also I have a smarphone with kindle installed and have downloaded the same book as on my kindle using my account.
How do I set it so when I've finished reading on my kindle I can view the same location on my smartphone?

Hi Nibby and welcome to the forum.

You can bookmark a particular page in a book, but I don't think you can do it on a word level.

Syncing your devices should just be a case of logging in to your Amazon account and selecting Manage Kindle. You should then be able to tell it to sync across devices.

If you're reading the same book on 2 devices, you should see a message when you open one of them, asking "Sync to furthest page read". Click that and it will take you to where you got to in the book.
