Ah!! I see them now in the top right hand corner, Rock Hard  by Danny somebodyorother (sorry I forgot the name by the time I posted) and then Used Aliens by M Sid Kelly. I will have to consider an ad and supporting this great site

Certainly the ads I've run here haven't disturbed the tumbleweeds blowing across my results page.

But that won't stop me taking out more ads because (a) they're deductible and (b) it helps keep the site going.

They're whaaat?? I hope Canadian tax laws follow suit. Hmmm...

I've got one at the moment, sat to sat, think it's my second or third time using them. Mostly as there's not that many places that are UK specific and the .co.uk one is sort of lol. anyway not sure re the sales element but hopefully some visitors will see add and have a look.

RE: KUF Ads - do they increase sales?

Although I like the idea of posting an advert on the KUF page, I'm not so sure about paying for an advertisement for Daily Free Books. I have no problems with the concept of giving the book away for free, and  helping to generate interest in it, In fact, I recently opted to do this with The Gathering of the Clans, rather than go for the KDP countdown deal that was due, but that's another story... Paying to advertise that your giving your book away, seems to go a bit far for me. I'd be much more interested in promoting a KDP countdown deal, where the price is reduced, rather than a giveaway. Is it only me who thinks this way? Am I looking at it wrong?

Is it just me doing something wrong, or are all the KUF slots  for Saturdays and Wednesdays booked up (and in grey) for the next year?

I think the rationale was always that you'd make back more than the cost of the ad in knock on sales after the promo has finished, and also in knock on sales for your other book(s).

Spend money to make money - no problem with that, but I think you need to have enough other product available to justify the investment. For me, one novel and two shorts isn't sufficient to go down that route.

I have to agree with this principle, but whether I get more sales for a free book or a KDP countdown book is hard to say. I think, from my own experience, perhaps overall the latter.

I've certainly liked the page and put a post tho it didn't show up on page only on the wee bit at the side saying others who've posted etc. FB is a good place to possibly find new visitors but am not sure who runs it? If it's built up could possible get more revenue for here by offering the cheap adverts on there too - a pinned post at the top possibly?
