Kindle Reading Lights

Because the Kindle is designed to give a reading experience as close to reading a real book as possible, the special e-ink screen requires ambient light for you to be able to see the text clearly. Whilst the screen is easy to read when a good light source is available, sometimes it is helpful to have additional light or to have a personal light which will allow you to read comfortably without disturbing others.
Some Kindle covers come fitted or supplied with a reading light but many do not, however help is at hand with a wide range of separate lights which will either attach or clip on to the cover or the Kindle in various ways.
When choosing a clip-on reading light it is worth paying attention to both the battery requirements, the weight and also the type of builb or illuminator. LED lights tend to use the least power and give a very bright light however this can sometimes be harsh if the light is not diffused properly.
