Kindle Chargers

Alternative ways to charge your Kindle

Many of you will charge your Kindle by plugging it into a computer USB port but this is not always a convenient way to charge your Kindle when on the move. Newer Kindles are not supplied with a mains charger as standard which means that if you wish to charge your Kindle away from the computer you will need to buy an additiional accessory. As well as being more convenient, a good mains charger can often recharge your Kindle more quickly as it is able to push more current than is normally allowed via a standard USB port.

As well as mains chargers there are also chargers for your car and also emergency chargers which can be ideal if you are going to be away from a power source for an extended period.

Chargers are the same regardless of your Kindle model as they use the standard USB interface and specification.

If you need any help or advice before you purchase a Kindle charger, please post a message in our Kindle accessories forum .
