About Czerkawska

I’m an award winning novelist, short story writer and playwright. I find myself drawn to storytelling in all its many wonderful forms and now, years after I was first conventionally published, (and as a frustrated mid-list writer!) I’m joyfully embracing the digital revolution. I try to write the kind of books I love to read. The Curiosity Cabinet, one of three finalists for the Dundee Book Prize, was first published by Polygon and is now available on Kindle. A couple of little collections of short stories, A Quiet Afternoon in the Museum of Torture and Stained Glass, are also on Kindle and I've just published my new novel, Bird of Passage, as an eBook. The Amber Heart, an epic tale of love and loss, based on my own Polish family history is scheduled for March 2012.
When I’m not writing, I spend some time each week dealing in antique and vintage textiles, clothes and other collectables.
